- The inspiration of Lucid Dream came from a flying dream Adam Young had during the development of Cinematic. Young explains that Lucid Dream was added to the album to balance out the physical and personal songs of his life with a more abstract, conceptual song, giving the listener a chance to interpret the song themselves.
